      • Orlando's First Meadery is coming soon!

        2022 | Orlando, Florida

      • Orlando's First Meadery!!

It is our great pleasure to announce that we've been working behind the scenes on the necessary steps to become an official business, and as of this past weekend we are officially incorporated as a Florida business!! In the upcoming months we will be selecting a physical location for what will become our tasting room and production facility, with plans to open our doors to the public by the end of 2021!!

We're also excited to announce that Ginger Leigh / Synthestruct and Joe Leigh will be officially partnering together as co-owners of the meadery! Her contributions over the past few years have been invaluable, not only in helping shape the recipes for the meads with her exceptional palette, but also as the designer behind our logo, our name, and her uncompromising vision for the meadery. Many of you know her for her interactive installations and large-scale audiovisual experiences, and as part of the meadery, Synthestruct will be designing the entire tasting room experience, which will be a permanent multi-sensory installation space to enjoy all the flavorful dimensions of the meads we will be serving!

We could not be more thrilled, and look forward to being part of the Orlando community. If you're not in Orlando, you can still try our meads! Since we are considered a winery and not a brewery, we will be able to ship our meads to most states when we open!

If you'd like to be part of helping to build the foundation of the meadery, we will be sharing our Indiegogo campaign soon, with lots of cool perks!

        What is Mead?

Mead is alcohol made from honey, just as wine is made from grapes, and beer is made from grains. Mead is the original alcohol, made globally long before civilization planted crops. Mead is usually 6-14% alcohol, can be crisp like a beer, dry like a fine wine, or sweet and rich like a dessert. It can be fermented with fruit, spiced, barrel aged, hopped, still, or sparkling. There are as many unique flavors of honey as there are types of flowering plants. These varieties can also be blended (wildflower) to create endless flavor combinations. Zymarium will focus on showcasing all the beautiful honeys that Florida has to offer.
